School of Civil Engineering — Engineering Solutions, Building the Nation.
Welcome to the School of Civil Engineering at the Papua New Guinea University of Technology (PNGUoT).
We are proud to lead the nation in civil engineering education, research, and professional training—preparing engineers who drive infrastructure development, promote sustainable solutions, and serve the needs of Papua New Guinea and the global community.
Our undergraduate Civil Engineering program, Bachelor of Civil Engineering (Honours), is fully accredited under the Washington Accord, meaning our graduates meet international standards and are recognized in all Accord member countries. This accreditation affirms our commitment to quality and opens pathways for our students and staff to engage, collaborate, and innovate on the world stage.
At the heart of our mission is real-world impact: from designing resilient infrastructure to advancing sustainable construction, we equip students with the skills, knowledge, and mindset to solve the pressing engineering challenges of today and tomorrow.
We actively welcome partnerships with foreign universities, research institutions, industry leaders, and development agencies. Whether through student exchange, collaborative research, capacity building, or infrastructure projects, we are open to forging meaningful connections that bring shared value to our region and beyond.
