Overview
School of Applied Physics is currently running multiple postgraduate courses:
1. Master of Science in Applied Physics (Course-Work)
2. Master of Science in Climate Change and Renewable Energy Access (Course-Work)
3. Master of Philosophy in Applied Physics (MPhil Research)
4. Master of Technology in Exploration Geophysics
5. Doctor of Philosophy in Applied Physics (PhD Research)
1. Master of Science in Applied Physics (Course-Work)
Entry Requirement
- A merit degree or postgraduate diploma from a tertiary institution approved by the Postgraduate Studies, Research and Innovation Committee (PSR&IC), or
- A Bachelor degree of Honors standard (GPA 3 out of 5) from a
tertiary institution approved by the PSR&IC - Relevant first degree with an industry experience of more than
two years
2. Master of Science in Climate Change and Renewable Energy Access (Course-Work)
Entry Requirements
- A recognized University Degree in Science, Engineering, Social Sciences, Humanities, and Environmental Studies with above-average grades from a recognized
University as per PNGUoT Post Graduate GPA minimum admission requirements.
3. Master of Philosophy in Applied Physics (MPhil Research)
Entry Requirements
- A merit degree or postgraduate diploma from a tertiary
institution approved by the Postgraduate Studies, Research
and Innovation Committee (PSR&IC), or - A Bachelor degree of Honors standard (GPA 3.7 out of 5) from a
tertiary institution approved by the PSR&IC - Relevant first degree with an industry experience of more than
two years
4. Master of Technology in Exploration Geophysics
Entry Requirements
- A merit degree or postgraduate diploma from a tertiary
institution approved by the Postgraduate Studies, Research
and Innovation Committee (PSR&IC), or - A Bachelor degree of Honors standard (GPA 3.7 out of 5) from a
tertiary institution approved by the PSR&IC - Relevant first degree with an industry experience of more than
two years
5. Doctor of Philosophy in Applied Physics (PhD Research)
Entry Requirements
- Must have a Master degree in a field of study related to the subject
of the proposed research. - Proven track record of research
- More than 2 years’ work experience
