Applications are invited from suitably qualified candidates for the following position within the University:
STUDENT SUPPORT & FACILITIES CENTRE – Manager – Union Board

Primary Responsibilities

Reporting directly to the chairman of University Union Board, the successful candidate will be responsible for discharging the duties and responsibilities relating to organizing and managing the commercial activities and facilities of the Union Board and undertake other related activities pertaining to fostering a mutual and harmonious environment amongst staff, students and members of the University community.
The suitable candidate must be able to initiate, plan strategically, organize and direct the future development of the Union facilities. S/he must be competent to plan, invest, manage and produce budgetary and other financial reports to the Board on a timely basis. S/he must be able to oversee, manage and furnish appropriate operational and financial reports for other commercial entities of the Board including: Unitech Play School, Driving School and the University Student Representative Council.

Qualification & Experience

A high standard of oral and written communication skills, knowledge of computers with proficiency in MS applications would be a definitive advantage. S/he must be conversant with all aspects of University administration and management practices including student related issues.

The successful candidate should have a first degree or higher in Business or Lands/Property studies with Accounting or Management background. And with 5 or more relevant work experiences in related fields of Property Management and general administration.

Conditions of Service

  • Base Salary: Assistant Registrar I/II (Manager – Union Board) – K40,781.00 – K56, 902.00 per annum
  • Domestic Market Allowance (DMA): K1,800.00 – K6,677.00 per annum.

(Level of appointment depends upon qualification and experience)
