Associate Professor in Information Systems or Technology
The Papua New Guinea University of Technology (PNG UoT), a premier institution dedicated to excellence in science, technology, and innovation, is seeking a qualified and experienced Associate Professor to join the School of Business Studies in Business Information Technology.

Primary Responsibilities
Key Responsibilities:
- Teach undergraduate and postgraduate courses in areas such as Management Information Systems, E-Commerce, Networking and Cloud Computing, Business Intelligence & Analytics, Network & Cyber Security and related fields.
- Supervise honors and postgraduate research projects.
- Lead research initiatives and contribute to the department’s publication output.
- Provide academic leadership and mentorship to junior staff.
- Engage with industry and community stakeholders to enhance program relevance.
- Participate in curriculum development and accreditation processes.
Qualification & Experience
Minimum Qualifications & Experience:
- A PhD in Information Systems, Information Technology or a closely related field.
- A minimum of 10 years of teaching experience at the tertiary level, with demonstrated excellence in student engagement, research supervision and curriculum development.
- A strong research record with publications in reputable journals.
- Experience in academic leadership or coordination roles.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Conditions of Service
Associate Professor: PGK78,441 – PGK95,873 per annum
Citizen: Domestic Market Allowance (DMA) K31,296 – K55,272 per annum
Non-Citizen: International Market Allowance (IMA) K96,481 – K123,870 per annum
(Level of appointment depends upon qualification and experience)
