ICTS Department
The Department of Information & Communication Technology Services (ICTS) manages, supports and promotes effective and efficient use of ICTS for administration, academic and other research activities. ICTS is committed to delivering quality customer service and technical solutions in the academic and administrative environment of the PNGUOT community. The Department of Information & Communication Technology Services (ICTS) supports and promotes intelligent use of information and communications technologies (ICT) for educational and managerial effectiveness and efficiency throughout the University.
As a key resource of the University, ICTS provides strategic support for the realization of the University’s corporate objectives, values, and development goals through an ITS Master Plan that establishes the framework for further development of the entire ICT infrastructure.

Divisions of ICT Services

The Electronic Service Unit (ESU) and TV share the same workstation and provide hardware electronic services.
The services for the division are as follows:
ESU – provides reliable electronic hardware repairs for the electronic devices for the university’s entities > academic staffs, students and non-academic staffs and administration.
TV – Responsible for TV and communication cabling in and around the university campus.
Network and Communication division provide effective and reliable internet accessibility and seamless communication for the university.
Network – Make sure university stay connected online with reliable and convenient network accessibility via Wi-Fi and LAN . It manages the both physical and application layers of the network.
Communication – Manages and maintains seamless communication via telephones and internet.
Help Desk and System Support work in union to provide the best first hand information and system support for the university.
Helpdesk – Face of the ICT services which provides the go to assistance for any service request or query from the university’s entities. Access our helpdesk system now to log in any service request.
System Support – This team provide system support to the university. It manages the systems and user’s administration, application development plus software and website management.
The PNG UoT Department of ICT is the exclusive provider of Papua New Guinea’s official domain registration services for .pg domain.
