BUC invites applications from qualified and compassionate individuals for the position of Nursing Officer. This role is essential to delivering quality patient care, maintaining clinical standards, and supporting the health and well-being of our community.
Primary Responsibilities
Key Responsibilities
- Provide direct nursing care and clinical support in accordance with professional standards
- Administer medications, dressings, and treatments as prescribed
- Monitor patient progress and maintain accurate medical records
- Support health awareness programs and staff wellness initiatives
- Collaborate with healthcare teams and contribute to continuous service improvement
- Uphold infection control, confidentiality, and safety protocols
Qualification & Experience
- Diploma or Degree in General Nursing from a recognized institution
- Current registration with the PNG Nursing Council
- Minimum 2 years of clinical experience preferred
- Sound knowledge of nursing procedures and patient care standards
- Strong communication, teamwork, and organizational skills
- Ability to maintain professionalism and compassion under pressure
Conditions of Service
- Base Salary – Nursing Officer I/II : PGK26,709 – PGK38,241 per annum
(Level of appointment depends upon qualification and experience)
