Papua New Guinea University of Technology Press (PNGUoT Press) is the official publishing arm of the Papua New Guinea University of Technology, established to advance the University’s mission of excellence in teaching, research, innovation, and national development.

As Manager of PNGUoT Press, I am committed to ensuring that our Press operates as a transparent, accountable, and high-quality publishing platform that serves Papua New Guinea’s educational, cultural, and knowledge priorities. We focus on producing textbooks, teaching guides, research monographs, laboratory manuals, and culturally significant works that respond to local learning needs while maintaining international academic and publishing standards.

A key priority at PNGUoT Press is to support and nurture emerging writers and early-career researchers, expand readership across Papua New Guinea, and encourage the development of fiction and non-fiction works that reflect our national stories, identities, and lived experiences. We are also actively working to strengthen publishing in local languages, including Tok Pisin, to promote literacy, cultural identity,and inclusive access to knowledge.

I was honoured to be awarded the Gold Fellowship at the Chennai International Book Fair (CIBF), which has further strengthened PNGUoT Press’s engagement with the global publishing community. This experience has opened valuable opportunities for international collaboration and knowledge exchange. Under my leadership, PNGUoT Press has also participated in global discussions on inclusive and accessible publishing, including the Print Disability Conference, reinforcing our commitment to equity and ensuring that knowledge is accessible to all.

As a growing university press, PNGUoT Press reflects the values of PNGUoT innovation, service, and impact. My vision is to position the Press as a national leader in publishing: one that empowers young writers, strengthens literacy, and connects Papua New Guinea’s scholarship, languages, and stories with the wider world.
