1. Universiti Malaysia Perlis (UNIMAP):
Our department faculties are engaged with joint research programs, Matching research grant programs and Joint organization of international conferences with faculties of UNIMAP, Malaysia. Department also has plans to other programs like exchange of academics and students in future.
2. State University of Malang, Indonesia:
Our department has initiated to establish a partnership with State University of Malang, Indonesia that will allow our faculties to get engaged with joint research programs, Matching research grant programs, Joint organization of international conferences, joint supervision of Masters and PhD students with faculties of State University of Malang, Indonesia.

1. Newmont
Newmont – Lihir Operations young talent Team visited the Tertiary Scholarship Assistance Scheme(TSAS) recipient of our department on 4th April 2024. Two of our students received TSAS, an incentive that is provided to Tertiary Students to support them in their studies but also emphasize on students upholding company values and a well-disciplined conduct.
2. ExxonMobil
Engineers from Exxonmobil conducting focussed session with final year and third year Mechanical Engineering students at UNITECH on 22nd May 2024.
3. OTML
Mr Gilbert Hamambi, Business Improvement Superintendent from Ok Tedi Mining Limited, delivering a guest lecture on Maintenance and Reliability Improvement Practices to our students on 29th February 2024. Mr Gilbert also participated in Assessment Review Panel(ARP) Meeting of the department and provided valuable suggestions for the improvements of assessments on 1st March 2024.
4. SP Brewery
SP Brewery Heineken Graduate Program Meet & Greet Function organized by SP Brewery on 5th April 2024. Three of our students were invited to participate in this program.
Professional Societies
1. IEOM Society
Our department has established an IEOM student’s chapter. Our department is co-organising international conferences with IEOM society. The members of IEOM student chapter have been engaged with conducting research on several areas identified by IEOM society and has been presenting research papers in IEOM conferences.
