Entry Requirements

Before 1995: PNG non-School leaver applicants are required to have completed an Agriculture Certificate or equivalent level from a recognized institution with 5+ years’ working experience.

After 1995: PNG non-School leavers into the program are required to have a Agriculture Diploma level or equivalent from a recognized institution with 2+ years’ work experience.

Minimum grades of requirements are for PNG non-school leavers before 1995:

  • Postgraduate Certificate or
  • Diploma in Agriculture

  • Diploma in Agriculture or
  • Advance Diploma in Agriculture

Industrial Training

All students enrolled in the degree programme are required to undertake field training during second and third years. Field training in second year involves working on the University Farm one day each week in both semesters; industrial training in third year is undertaken for a full semester
