2027 Non-School Leaver Application

Applications for 2027 is now open to candidates intending to seek enrolment into the undergraduate degree and diploma programs that are offered at the Main Campus at Taraka, Bulolo (BUC), and the Timber and Forestry College (TFTC) Campus.

NEW INTAKE – UNDERGRADUATE PROGRAMS

The Papua New Guinea University of Technology (PNGUoT) invites applications from eligible Non-School Leaver (NSL) applicants for admission in Semester 1, 2027 into:

  • Undergraduate degree programs offered at the Taraka Main Campus and Bulolo Campus (BUC); and
  • Diploma in Wood Processing and Manufacturing offered at Bumbu Campus (TFTC).

  • Friday, 21 August 2026
  • Sunday, 17 October 2026

    • Applicants are encouraged to submit their applications well before the closing date.

    HOW TO APPLY

    All applicants must apply through the Department of Higher Education, Research, Science and Technology (DHERST) National Online Application System (NOAS).

    Applicants must also complete the PNGUoT Online Non-School Leaver Application Form after completing their applications on NOAS.

    IMPORTANT: Manual applications and applications submitted by email will not be accepted.

    ELIGIBILITY

    To be eligible to apply, applicants must:

    • Have completed Grade 12 or hold an equivalent qualification; and
    • Meet the minimum entry requirements for their preferred program.

    Applicants must carefully read and follow all application instructions. Failure to meet the entry requirements or provide the required supporting documents may result in disqualification.

    APPLICATION REQUIREMENTS

    Before starting your application, ensure that you have the following:

    1. Access to your DHERST NOAS account
      Contact your matriculation programme centre coordinators or NOAS Support if you require assistance with accessing your account.
    2. K100.00 Application Fee Receipt
    3. Recent Passport-Size Photograph
    4. Certified Copies of Grade 10 and Grade 12 Certificates
    5. Police Clearance
    6. Written Character Reference from one of the following:
      • A clergy member (eg; priest, pastor)
      • A Ward Councillor; or
      • A professional referee.

    The reference must be provided on the official letterhead and bear the stamp of the relevant organisation or Local-Level Government (LLG), where applicable.

    7.Other Relevant Qualifications or Supporting Documents, where applicable.

    APPLICATION PROCESS

    Follow the steps below to complete your application:

    Step 1: Activate or reactivate your NOAS account and log in to your Account.
    Step 2: Complete the required information and select your preferred PNGUoT program, which will be one of your three choices. Your information on NOAS must correspond with the information entered on the PNGUOT Application system.
    Step 3: Access the PNGUoT Online Non-School Leaver Application Form through NOAS and the PNGUOT website.
    Step 4: Review the application requirements and confirm all required supporting documents.
    Step 5: Pay the K100.00 application fee.
    Step 6: Complete and submit the PNGUoT Online Non-School Leaver Application Form.
    Step 7: Sit for the PNGUoT Non-School Leaver Entry Test, where required.
    Step 8: Review and ensure that your choice of course on NOAS matches your choice on the PNGUOT Application.

    A non-refundable application fee of K100.00 must be deposited into the following account:

    IMPORTANT NOTICE

    Applicants are advised to note the following:

    • Only one application will be accepted from each applicant.
    • Applications submitted after the closing date will not be accepted.
    • Incomplete applications, including applications without the required supporting documents or proof of payment, may be disqualified.
    • The submission of forged, altered, or fraudulent documents will result in immediate disqualification and permanent blacklisting from future applications to PNGUoT.
    • Applicants are responsible for ensuring that all information and documents submitted are complete and accurate before final submission.
